APMEN Welcomes New Members from Chile

On February 27th, Chile officially announces as new APMEN member in APEC CTI Meeting held in Nha Trang. Two Ports are simultaneously nominated by the Chile, hence making APMEN a family of 10 member economies and 14 Ports or E-Ports.

The two ports, Lirquen Port and Coronel Port, are both located in Chile’s VIII region. Upon joining APMEN, the two ports will share and exchange their knowledge and experience in the field of using ICT infrastructure for trade facilitation and supply chain connectivity with other APMEN members. APMEN Operational Center (AOC) will continue to provide a cooperation platform for APMEN members, including the two ports, to reach their goals of E-Port development through collaborations on Capacity Building program and facilitating Pilot Projects.

Two Chilean experts, Mr. Mauricio BUSTOS and Mr. Mario MARTINEZ are also nominated to join APMEN Expert pool (AEP).
